Conservatory of Classical Ballet

When attending Conservatory of Classical Ballet, students will find they are encouraged to achieve their highest potential in a disciplined and supportive environment. We train dancers in a pure classical style; developing clean lines, absent of mannerisms, and a natural freedom of movement. The challenging curriculum emphasizes artistry as well as strength and technical ability. A great deal of care is taken to train each dancer to use his or her muscles in a way that is both technically correct and safe for his or her particular body. All Students are encouraged to perform in annual productions, regardless of age, height, weight, race or gender. The benefits gained through practicing and performing ballet are invaluable, whether one wants to dance professionally or purely for personal fulfillment.

Ms. Fisher has been teaching and directing throughout the Bay Area since 1988. From 1997 to 2001 she was the Director of Berkeley Ballet Theater and the Founding Director of the critically acclaimed Berkeley Ballet Theater Youth Ensemble. She received her early training from Oakland Ballet Academy, and in 1983 she began dancing and touring internationally with the Oakland Ballet Company. During her nine years with the company she had the wonderful experience of working with some of the great legends of our time, and performing a diverse repertoire of classical, contemporary, Americana and Diaghilev era ballets. Her style of teaching is energetic, challenging and fun. Her enthusiasm for teaching and dedication to fairness and her students is often highly praised.
