| Jack Pollard and Company is committed to bringing fine vocal jazz to the bay area and beyond. Our company provides two services to bring this original American Art Form to the marketplace. Jack performs both as a vocal artist and also as a booking agent for those establishments wishing to offer fine vocal jazz. These services can be utilized together or singly.
We have a specialized process which encompasses the creation of a specific marketing plan for each venue. We identify the market segment, provide the artists most suited to the venue and include an advertising scheme to ensure successful results. Jack Pollard is an accomplished vocal artist. He is a native San Franciscan, who began his professional career at the age of fifteen. His operatic training is the basis for his technique, which when blended with his other vocal influences, produces a style all his own. He sang for ten years with a popular Bay Area vocal quintet called the Promatics, which sang primarily rhythm and blues, but he has always been drawn to jazz. The musical stylings of such musicians as Nat King Cole, Johnny Hartman, Lou Rawls, Mel Torme, Joe Williams and Billy Eckstine have inspired him throughout his career. Jack performs regularly at Slates Jazz Supperclub in Walnut Creek. He also is featured at Ledson Winery, Cuccina Viansa, and private affairs. He is also a client of The Stars Agency in San Francisco. | ||
