Born and raised in Northern California our childhoods consisted of an innate and common passion for beautiful spaces. In 1990, Lacey Ellen Decors was opened and we were formally introduced to the world of interior design. For nearly ten plus years Lacey Ellen developed immensely, largely due to the unsolicited international recognition of various design publications (Better Homes and Gardens, Country Home, Sunset Books and HGTV- just to name a few) that out team’s unique designs drew! Then in 2000 we both decided that it was time to move on. Having recently graduated from high school, I (Jonathan) felt it was time to concentrate on college and the possibility of pursuing some other fields of interest. Tirzah focused on her growing family- though she continued to consult for boutique stores throughout the country. In spite of our attempts to momentarily change direction, our hearts always seemed to be in design-mode. Then, Gibbs Smith Publisher who was looking for an author to create a book for their expanding home-design collection contacted us. Less than one year later, "Family Spaces" was available in bookstores everywhere. With the completion of our first book and a persistently nagging desire to “get back in to things” we decided that we needed to rethink our direction(s) one more time. Fast forward six months to May 5, 2006 and with the pop of of a champagne cork and 50 or 60 dozen chocolate tartlets, FILTHY GORGEOUS opened to a packed house of our closest friends, select clients and prized family members. From one of a kind vintage furnishings to hand-made collectibles and gifts, and with the most recent addition of a new FG Store, the Filthy Gorgeous Experience is without a doubt our most exciting venture yet!
