| Mission: To provide quality products, instructions, and customer service in the needlearts of crocheting, cross stitch, embroidery, knitting and needlepoint.
History and Product Lines: Skein Lane's history began as a needlework shop in the 1970's under the ownership of the late Joan Haggerty and late Peg DeCamp. In 1996 Carolyn Pugh acquired Skein Lane and expanded the product lines to include knitting and crocheting supplies and instructions. Staffing: Carolyn has been involved in fibers and the knitting or stitching of those fibers since early childhood. She learned to knit on the playgrounds of an Australian school and continued on with formal studies of textiles and fibers throughout her high school and college days. During the last four years Carolyn has worked both outside and inside the shop. The most exciting news for Carolyn is that she will be at the shop full time by mid-March. Skein Lane Staff includes Magadalena Barry, Sharon Faerber, Kim Stiewig, Shannon Dunne, and Susan Salancy. This staff has come to work at the shop through their association with the knitting workshops. All staff are knowledgable in knitting and the needlearts.
