Aradigm's comprehensive delivery solutions include:

Liquid formulation development. Liquid formulations are used as they are easier to work with, less costly, less risky and faster to develop than their powder counterparts. Many drug products are already in solution, and the viability of the technology used in manufacturing and delivering liquid formulations is well established.
AERx® System customization. Aradigm's patient-friendly AERx® Pulmonary Drug Delivery System offers state-of-the-art advantages (see below). Hand-held and self-administered, the AERx System may be appropriate for both hospital and outpatient settings.
Liquid dosage form and AERx manufacturing. Liquid dosage formulations deliver extraordinary manufacturing advantages in terms of simplicity, efficiency, cost-savings and compression of time to market.
Clinical trials/regulatory assistance. An exceptional staff and extensive experience (more than 20 clinical trials involving more than 600 patients worldwide conducted) qualify Aradigm to assist with-or independently execute-clinical and/or regulatory tasks.

Technology Overview

Aradigm's proprietary, customizable AERx Pulmonary Drug Delivery System delivers liquid drug formulations to the lung or bloodstream. This elegant, sophisticated, easy-to-use device offers multiple advantages in terms of efficacy, reproducibility and usability. Active Breath Control - a key AERx feature - guides patients to the correct rate and depth of breathing for more efficient, reproducible drug delivery; it also makes the device exceedingly easy to use. Disposable nozzles and point-of-use aerosol generation enhance reproducibility while eliminating storage concerns and maximizing drug deposition in the lung. In addition, the AERx System's customizable electronic monitoring system may increase patient compliance by allowing patients and health care professionals to track dosing behavior.
