| Founded in 1975, Adolescent Counseling Services promotes healthy social and emotional development through counseling and education for adolescents, their families and their communities. ACS is a 501c3 nonprofit agency, with offices in Palo Alto and Belmont, California. ACS runs three programs: a group home called Caravan House; an On-Campus Counseling Program; and an Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Program. Collaboration has been a core value at ACS from the beginning. The founders of the agency included a diverse group representing local government, police, healthcare, social work, schools and parents. This spirit of collaboration continues today as ACS partners with public and private agencies to provide an integrated network of services for teens and families in our community. Over the last 30 years, ACS has reached more than 16,000 teens and their family members from Santa Clara County and San Mateo County.
