I help people affected by loss including people dealing with grief, facing death, or coping with illness, but if you think of your own situation you might realize that loss is playing a role in your search for a therapist. I also work with people who aren't deeply troubled, but are searching for growth or feeling the absence of a spiritual center in their lives. My approach explores the unconscious processes churning beneath our thoughts and actions, and on the parts of our psyche shaped by relationships with early caregivers. I can help you find wholeness among those parts and gradually help you to be able to approach your difficulties with more clarity and calm. I use mindfulness in my work with experience gained from thirty years of meditation practice. When psychotherapy is working, both the client and I are alert and open to whatever might arise. Healing evolves in the moment. This process helps you face life outside of therapy in the same way.
