| I believe psychotherapy can allow individuals to greatly enhance the experience of aliveness, authenticity, freedom and purpose in their lives. I work with individuals and couples from a psychodynamic perspective based on contemporary psychoanalytic and relational theories. I practice an eclectic approach to psychotherapy based on the needs and goals of the specific individual. I am particularly interested in working with depression, anxiety and relationship issues, as well as working with individuals wishing to explore questions of purpose and meaning in their lives.
I have been fortunate to work with clients from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds covering a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, grief, eating disorders, trauma, and chronic illness. I am also very interested in the exploration of sibling, twinship and identity issues. I received my graduate degree from UC Berkeley and am also a graduate of the two year Advanced Training Program at The Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley, CA.
