  • The "Advertising-Agencies & Counselors" example above shows 515 Impressions and 238 Click-thrus. All statistics above are real-time as of : Mar 14, 2010 06:21:39

  • You might want to save Impressions and Click-thrus once a month for YOUR Listing(s) to compare with future results to track the effectiveness of Topical Links. Especially if I created your Listing before I added Home Page or Topical Links. In such a case my application automatically counted Impressions as soon as I created your Listing but it did not count Click-thrus until later. This means you need to subtract earlier benchmarks of Impressions and Click-thrus from later ones to calculate the actual Click-thru rate.

  • The following illustrates how practical Impressions or Click-thrus can be. First, recall Yellow Pages typically deliver Prospects, not just Visitors. Next, your Website's log entries about Visitors from SMARTERyellowpages.com (aka Prospects) enable you to calculate Click-thrus per Prospect. Obtain Cost per Click-thru using stats like that above. Then (Click-thrus per Prospect) X (Cost per Click-thru) = Cost per Prospect. I think you'll find Topical Links are cost-effective.

  • Admitedly it's counter-intuitive, but Click-thrus can exceed Impressions. This occurs when:

    1. Prospects Click-thru to the Website and

    2. They then go back to the Listing without refreshing it (thereby not incrementing Impressions)

    This understates the actual number of Impressions. This suggests Prospects might be relying on your Listing as a convenient way to identify the important topics on your Website, not just go to them.
